Police Arrest 31-Year-Old Man Over Alleged Cyberbullying of Traditional Ruler in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested Buriba Israel, 31, of Jambutu, Yola South, over allegations that he used social media to circulate posts containing accusations against Daniel Samaila, holder of the Hamman Bachama first-class chieftaincy stool of the Numan Federation. Police described the posts as offensive and damaging to the traditional ruler's reputation and dignity. Following a formal complaint, detectives launched an investigation, arrested the suspect, and recovered electronic devices now undergoing forensic examination.

WindRelay, a newly discovered Android malware, works with the SpyNote remote-access trojan to hijack NFC signals between a victim's bank card and phone, letting criminals clone the card for use at ATMs or payment terminals. Victims are tricked via fake bank calls/texts into installing the app, then persuaded to tap their card against their phone for 'verification.'
